2006 Clash at Renny Gold #13876

Brought to you by the same production company that made the now-famous 2006 USDGC Lead Group Live, the Clash at Renny Gold DVD proves to be yet another breakthrough release in disc golf video production. This DVD features a stunning round of golf played by the best in the game on one of the world’s most challenging courses set in beautiful North Carolina.

The round is played in triples format featuring two teams: Team Touchers, led by Barry Schultz, Brian Schweberger, and Timmy Gill, and Team Untouchables, featuring Ken Climo, Dave Feldberg, and Nate Doss. With names like these, viewers know they are in for some phenomenal disc golf footage. The video also features footage of North Carolina legend Michael Johanssen and young phenom Brian Wiggins Jr. as they navigate the course with impeccable style and accuracy. Billy Crump, who along with Schwebby and Schultz led the commentary on Lead Group Live, proves once again that his casual report with the games top professionals gives the viewer insight into what it takes to become a champion of the sport. Follow the action during the round from the main camera set on a tripod, while being treated to the “player cam” shot by Crump which captured just about everything on the tee box before the shots and adds humor with the healthy doses of razzing by the competitors.

Features:

  • Approximate Running Time: 120 Minutes
  • United States DVD Format

What is this sport anyway? Disc golf (also referred to as "frisbee golf") is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc, or Frisbee®. The sport was formalized in the 1970s, and shares with "ball golf" the object of completing each hole in the fewest number of strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest number of throws). Currently, there are more than 1,750 disc golf courses worldwide, with over 1,400 in the USA.
